Living Room Makeover

This room makeover was furnished from scratch. The client liked the wall color so I worked with that and developed a palette that complimented that color. The final touches and rug are still in the works.

Creating a New Space

This space was a challenge. The perimeter of the space provided no place as a backdrop for beds. I devised a partition that divided the space. This allows the beds to float in the room. The trim and doors were painted to minimize them. The focus of the space is the bed arrangement.

When planning guest rooms consider two twin beds. You can separate or join them as needed. This will allow you to provide sleeping arrangements for two singles or a couple.

Mudroom / Laundry

A shared mudroom / laundry room does not have to be dark or dreary. Make it colorful, well lit and functional. In this small space I designed a bench area with beadboard and pegs for everyday coats and jackets. Front load washer and dryer provide an opportunity for a work surface. Open shelves keep supplies within easy reach. A pocket door gives gives flexibility to close the space off from the home's main entry and keeps the door out of the way when the space is in use.

More Kitchens

I love kitchens! Here in another project just completed for a home in Bartlett for Cormack Construction Management. I designed the layout, specified all of the cabinets, finishes and fixtures. All Viking appliances and Kohler fixtures.

Lovely Curtains

This is a master bathroom in a new home. The valance and cafe curtains are pinch pleated. The valance has a scoop top and solid linen gathered tabs. Quality solid iron rods, finials and rings offer an elegant detail. Designed by Julie and expertly fabricated by our drapery workroom and installed by expert installers.

New Kitchen

Using computer imaging allows clients to see the design. It allows the client and I to explore design ideas and see layout options. This is a kitchen in a home that is being extensively remodeled. There were many layout options. Computer imaging also allows one to see color options.

This is a project I designed using Rich Maid Kabinetry. Everything with Rich Maid is custom. All cabinets are made to my specifications. They are then installed by our expert carpenters to ensure quality.

Kitchen Overlooking the Lake

This kitchen design is all about the view and the huge island. This space is the central focus of the main living space of the home.

Counters and Sink: Soapstone
Island Counter: Recycled Bowling Alley Flooring
